I recently purchased a Crompton kitchen chimney, and I must say, the experience has been deeply disappointing.
1. False Claim of Silent Operation – The product is marketed as a “silent” chimney, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. My smartwatch measured the noise level at 73 dB, which is far from quiet. It’s ridiculously noisy, making cooking an unpleasant experience.
2. Unjustifiable Installation Charges – The ₹2900 installation fee is outrageous, especially given the standard nature of the installation process. For this price, one would expect a seamless and professional setup, but it barely met basic expectations.
3. Performance & Build – While the suction power seems decent, the high noise levels defeat the purpose of a premium kitchen appliance. The build quality is okay, but nothing extraordinary to justify the price point.
Verdict: If you’re looking for a genuinely quiet chimney, look elsewhere. Crompton’s claims of silent operation are misleading, and the high installation cost adds to the frustration. Not recommended.

I’m really happy with this Crompton kitchen chimney so far. The suction is strong enough to handle regular Indian cooking, and the smart auto-clean feature is a real time-saver. It’s quieter than my previous chimney and looks quite stylish in my kitchen. The installation was straightforward, and the baffle filter is easy to clean. Overall, a solid buy and well worth the price.
