In practice this allowed genuine simultaneous cooking that single-zone portable inductions cannot match: high-power tadka on one zone while a pressure cooker ran on another and a third vessel simmered. Heat response felt quick once compatible cookware was placed correctly. The eight power levels gave usable control from gentle simmering to aggressive boiling, though the exact wattage split per zone is not published by the manufacturer and therefore not claimed here.

Touch Controls, Safety Features and Glass Surface

The full touch control panel is responsive under normal dry-hand conditions. With wet or oily fingers we occasionally needed a second press—typical of capacitive panels in Indian kitchens. Auto-off, countdown timer and child lock functioned as expected during our tests. The toughened glass surface cleaned reasonably well after routine oil and spice spills when wiped promptly; burnt-on residue required more effort but left no permanent marks under normal use. Installation Reality: Hardwired 32A Requirement

1. Simultaneous Cooking Capability for Indian Meals

The iBELL’s three zones and 5600 W total power allowed the most complete parallel cooking in our tests: high-heat tadka, pressure cooking and simmering could run together without the severe throttling seen on lower-powered dual units. The Hawkins Dual handled two substantial tasks well (up to 3600 W combined) with finer 100 W power steps that some cooks will prefer for precise simmering. Premium 3-zone built-ins generally offer balanced power distribution and excellent zone independence, but at a higher price and similar electrical demands. For households that regularly prepare three elements at once, the iBELL’s zone count is the clearest practical advantage.

2. Electrical Installation and Real-World Practicality

This is the decisive differentiator. The iBELL explicitly requires a dedicated 32A 2-pole MCB hardwire connection with no plug supplied—professional electrical work is mandatory.
