The Sunshine CT900 Cover Sleek fundamentally solves the biggest pain point of 4-burner cooking: overcrowded pots. By stretching the high-performance brass burners across an extra-long, linear chassis, it provides enough handle clearance to easily run four massive vessels simultaneously—even allowing two people to cook side-by-side. Encased in indestructible, pure stainless steel that easily withstands aggressive scrubbing and humid coastal air, it is a commercial-grade workhorse designed for large joint families and heavy daily meal prep.
⚡ Key Performance Highlights:
- ✔ Linear Burner Geometry: Elongated horizontal layout maximizes handle clearance, entirely eliminating the pot collisions common on square stoves.
- ✔ Two-Person Ergonomics: The extra-wide footprint provides enough physical separation for two users to comfortably cook side-by-side.
- ✔ Indestructible Steel Body: Pure stainless steel chassis easily survives heavy cast-iron impacts and entirely resists coastal rust.
- ✔ Manual Reliability: Strictly mechanical ignition guarantees lifelong operation, immune to the electrical failures common in auto-spark models.
- ⚠️ Extra Countertop Space Required: Will overhang on compact L-shaped slabs; physically requires an exceptionally long granite counter to sit safely.
🚀 Quick Buying Verdict:
The ultimate pragmatist’s choice for massive Indian family feasts. If you have a long kitchen slab and prioritize raw cooking space, rust-proof durability, and true 4-pot capacity over the fragile aesthetics of glass-top stoves, this Sunshine model is a spectacular, lifelong investment.

Description
The Elongated Geometry: True Two-Person Cooking
The fundamental flaw of almost every 4-burner stove on the market is the tight, square arrangement that causes massive pan handles to collide in the center. Sunshine drastically re-engineered this paradigm with the CT900 Cover Sleek by stretching the burners into a linear, elongated layout. This extra-wide horizontal footprint provides so much physical separation between the heavy-duty brass burners that it is one of the only domestic gas stoves wide enough to comfortably accommodate two people cooking side-by-side at the same time, making it phenomenal for large family gatherings or heavy morning meal prep.
Immortal Stainless Steel vs. Coastal Humidity
Modern glass-top stoves look beautiful, but their internal powder-coated iron bases are highly susceptible to rusting in humid environments once the paint chips. The Sunshine CT900 completely abandons fragile glass in favor of a heavy-duty, pure stainless steel body. This ISI-certified chassis is virtually immortal. It easily withstands aggressive scrubbing, accidental drops from heavy cast-iron cookware, and constant exposure to salty coastal humidity without ever developing structural rust.
High-Performance Brass Burners & Manual Reliability
Sunshine equips this workhorse with four High-Performance Brass Burners designed specifically to output the aggressive heat necessary for boiling large volumes of water or rapidly searing meats. To ensure absolute lifelong reliability, this model intentionally skips delicate battery-operated spark plugs, utilizing a robust Manual Ignition System instead. While it requires keeping a standard gas lighter handy, it entirely eliminates the risk of auto-ignition failure caused by boiled-over curries short-circuiting the internal wiring.
Target Demographics: Is the Sunshine CT900 Right For You?
Operating in the highly accessible ₹5,900 to ₹6,500 budget tier, the Sunshine CT900 Cover Sleek is the ultimate heavy-duty solution for large joint families, hostel canteens, or home-based catering businesses. If you prioritize raw physical space, zero handle collisions, and the indestructible nature of thick stainless steel over the fragile aesthetics of glass-top stoves, this extra-long layout is a spectacular, pragmatic investment.
⚠️ Dealbreaker Alert: Countertop Length & Gas Source
Do not purchase this stove if you have a compact, L-shaped, or narrow modular kitchen counter. Its elongated geometry requires a very specific, long slab of free granite space to sit safely. Furthermore, like most commercial-grade stoves in India, it is calibrated explicitly for bottled LPG cylinders. If your property uses a Piped Natural Gas (PNG) wall line, a certified technician must physically swap the internal brass nozzles before it can be used safely.
User Intent FAQ & Troubleshooting
Why does this stove look so much longer than standard 4-burners?
Standard 4-burners are arranged in a compact 2×2 square to save space, which causes massive pots to block each other. The Sunshine CT900 is engineered as a “linear” or elongated stove specifically to spread the burners out horizontally, providing enough handle clearance for extra-wide dosa tawas and allowing two people to stand side-by-side while cooking.
Is the stainless steel difficult to clean compared to glass?
While glass easily shows smudges and requires careful microfiber polishing, high-grade stainless steel is the standard in commercial kitchens for a reason. You can aggressively scrub baked-on grease off the Sunshine chassis using heavy-duty scouring pads without worrying about shattering the surface or chipping paint.
Does it come with an auto-ignition battery slot?
No. This model utilizes a purely mechanical, manual ignition system. You must turn the gas knob and light the burner with a standard manual gas lighter or matchstick. This ensures maximum long-term reliability by eliminating fragile electronics.

Test Kitchen Recommended Pairings
To safely supply adequate fuel to this extra-wide 4-burner setup, we strongly mandate adding these installation essentials to your cart:
Extra-Long Steel Braided Hose (ISI)
Because this stove is significantly wider than standard models, your old rubber gas pipe may not reach the inlet nozzle comfortably without stretching. A 1.5-meter steel-braided ISI safety hose ensures safe, rat-proof routing.
✔ Mandatory Safety Upgrade
Extended 90cm Exhaust Chimney
A standard 60cm kitchen chimney is far too narrow to cover the expansive width of the CT900. To effectively capture smoke and vaporized oil from the outer edge burners, pairing it with a wide 90cm chimney is essential.
✔ Essential Spatial Component
📊 Expert Editorial Summary: Is the Sunshine CT900 Worth It?
After extensive evaluations, the Sunshine CT900 Cover Sleek proves itself as the ultimate heavy-duty pragmatist’s stove. By completely ignoring the trend of compact glass tops, Sunshine created an extra-long, purely stainless steel workhorse that functionally accommodates massive Indian cookware without any frustrating handle collisions. It is one of the only domestic gas stoves with enough physical breathing room to allow two cooks to work side-by-side simultaneously. While it lacks the high-end aesthetic appeal of black glass and demands a substantial amount of countertop real estate, its indestructible chassis, high-efficiency brass burners, and highly competitive pricing make it an extraordinary investment for large households who prioritize raw cooking utility over visual elegance.
- ✦ Collision-Free Cooking: The elongated layout finally allows you to use all four burners with massive pots simultaneously.
- ✦ Indestructible Build: Pure stainless steel construction safely absorbs heavy cast-iron impacts and entirely resists coastal rust.
- ✦ Two-Person Ergonomics: The extra-wide footprint comfortably supports two users cooking side-by-side during busy mornings.
- ✦ Manual Reliability: Mechanical ignition guarantees lifelong operation, immune to the electrical failures common in auto-spark hobs.
Test Kitchen Showdown: Sunshine CT900 vs. Sunflame & Pigeon
The biggest lie in the appliance industry is the compact 4-burner stove. Manufacturers squeeze four burners into a tiny square chassis, meaning the moment you place a wide pan on the front, the rear burner becomes inaccessible. To determine if the elongated, linear geometry of the Sunshine CT900 Cover Sleek actually solves this, we tested it head-to-head against a traditional square stainless-steel workhorse—the Sunflame Pride 4-Burner—and the reigning budget glass-top, the Pigeon Aster 4-Burner.
During our side-by-side evaluations at our Thrissur appliance test kitchen, we focused purely on spatial utility and coastal durability. We simultaneously loaded all three stoves with our largest catering-style dosa tawas, 5-litre pressure cookers, and wide biriyani pots. We measured handle clearance down to the millimeter, and continuously monitored how the chassis materials reacted to heavy, aggressive scrubbing with steel wool and harsh dish soaps.

Reality Check 1: The Linear Space Advantage
When preparing a massive family feast on a standard square 4-burner like the Sunflame or Pigeon, you are forced into a frustrating game of Tetris. A 30cm dosa tawa on the front left burner completely eclipses the back left burner, rendering it useless. The Sunshine CT900 abandons the square format entirely, spreading the four burners horizontally in a wide, linear line. This geometric shift creates so much handle clearance that two people can literally stand side-by-side, flipping dosas on one end while simultaneously managing two large curry pots on the other end without bumping elbows.
Reality Check 2: Steel Immortality vs. Glass Fragility
Glass-top stoves like the Pigeon Aster look fantastic in showrooms, but they introduce severe anxiety into heavy-duty kitchens. Slam down a heavy cast-iron kadhai too hard, and the glass shatters. Let a pot boil dry, and the thermal shock cracks the top. Furthermore, the powder-coated iron bases underneath cheap glass stoves rust aggressively in Kerala’s humid coastal climate. Like the Sunflame, the Sunshine CT900 is constructed from pure stainless steel. It is practically immortal. You can aggressively scrub baked-on milk stains with heavy steel wool—something that would instantly ruin a glass stove—making it infinitely more practical for high-volume, messy cooking.
Reality Check 3: The Countertop Tax
The only significant downside to the Sunshine’s brilliant linear geometry is the sheer amount of physical real estate it consumes. Both the Sunflame and Pigeon fit perfectly onto standard, compact modular kitchen slabs. The Sunshine CT900 is exceptionally long. If your kitchen features an L-shaped corner setup or limited flat counter space, this stove will literally hang off the edges or bump into your sink area. You must physically measure your kitchen slab to ensure you have an uninterrupted horizontal stretch to accommodate this commercial-style beast.
🎯 The Definitive Buying Verdict
- Buy the Sunshine CT900 (Elongated) if: You have a long, uncrowded kitchen counter and regularly cook massive, multi-course meals. Its zero-collision linear layout and indestructible stainless steel body make it a commercial-grade workhorse that easily justifies its slightly higher price.
- Buy the Sunflame Pride 4B (Square) if: You want the heavy-duty, rust-proof durability of pure stainless steel but have a compact kitchen that cannot physically accommodate an extra-long linear stove.
- Buy the Pigeon Aster 4B (Glass) if: You are on a strict budget, prioritize modern aesthetics over raw structural durability, and rarely need to use more than two or three large pots simultaneously.

The media could not be loaded.
Fit for small & narrow slabs but gap between burners is not enough!?!
As you can see the kadhai the hovering over another burner???
Only fit for small family & pot & pan’s?!
The Gap between all burner specially when given large burner for big pot the gap must have been more to put bigpan’s all together.
A little more distance between burners company must consider & the additional supporting legs midway’s too only 4 legs on corners for this long stove doesn’t seem sturdy base.
Although happy with this purchase quality & budget .
