FAQs

Is this product dishwasher safe? No, but the stainless steel body and spill tray clean with warm soapy water and a soft sponge – rinse and dry to prevent spots. For burners, lift caps and rinse under tap if oily from frying; this 3-minute step removes 95% residue without abrasives, keeping the silver finish shiny as per 2-year warranty. Avoid dishwasher to protect the ABS knobs from warping or steel discoloration. If grease builds from tadka, use baking soda paste for gentle scrub, but test on small area first.

Can this product be used on high heat? Yes, the big brass burner handles high heat for rapid boils like water for tea – full flame in 6 seconds with even spread. Use the small for frying to control, and match pot base (18cm on big) for no-tip safety; always cover while cooking to save 15% gas, and keep a lid nearby for safety during tadka splatters. For pressure cooking, start on medium to build pressure slowly, avoiding sudden bursts.

What is the warranty period? 2 years manufacturer on the product, covering defects like rust or burner clog – contact Pigeon customer care at 080-26985800 for claims. Doorstep service in cities within 7 days; register online with invoice within 15 days to activate. If legs slip, check surface clean to stay eligible. For PNG conversion, service is extra but warranty covers the swap if done officially.

Does this product come with accessories? Yes, includes the gas stove with 2 brass burners, pan supports, nylon knobs, 4 anti-skid feet, and warranty card. No hose or regulator – get BIS-approved (₹300); manual has setup diagrams for 10-minute assembly, including leak test with soap solution. The straight pipe fitting and right-hand nozzle suit standard cylinders.

Is this product suitable for beginners? Yes, manual ignition is basic – hold match 5-7 seconds near burner while turning knob slowly to low. Brass burners light steady, and nylon knobs have clear markings for low-high; start with medium flame for eggs to learn spread. Sturdy tubular legs prevent slides for new users with hot oil, and lightweight body (4.7 kg) is easy to shift for cleaning. The ergonomic angular panel guides hand placement for confident use.

What materials are used in this product? Heavy gauge stainless steel body for rust-proof durability (holds 300°C), brass burners for even heat (anti-corrosion), ABS nylon knobs for flame-resistant grip (heat-safe to 150°C), and steel pan supports. All ISI certified; steel lasts 3+ years with monthly wipe. The powder coated finish on supports adds extra rust protection in humid areas.

Can this product be used for multi-purpose cooking? Yes, two burners let you boil rice on big, simmer dal on small together – 200mm spacing fits 15-18cm pots without bump. For basic thalis, high on big for tadka; manual light works in low-pressure areas, but use regulator for steady flow. The spill-proof tray catches 90% drips, keeping counters dry during multi-task like making tea and toast.

What are the cleaning instructions? Wipe steel body daily with damp cloth for fingerprints – use vinegar (1:1 water) for curry stains. Lift burner caps (twist) and rinse weekly if clogged from rice; dry fully to stop moisture in valves. Full monthly: Unplug gas, wash supports in hot soapy water – 8 minutes total, no scrubbers to keep 2-year warranty. For nylon knobs, spot clean with mild soap if sticky from handling – avoid soaking.

How much does the product weigh, and is it easy to handle? 4.7 kg – one person can lift for counter placement or storage. Tubular legs grip surfaces; for renters, no-drill mats (₹200) add hold. Compact height (30 cm) fits under cabinets if needed. The angular panel makes it stable even on slight tilts, but level surface best for even burn.

Does this product work with all heat sources (induction, gas, etc.)? LPG gas only – manual ignition for open flames; not induction (no magnetic). For PNG, contact Pigeon authorized service (₹400-600, 1-hour job); pairs with 14.2kg cylinders, but check hose yearly for cracks to avoid leaks. The right-hand nozzle suits standard setups, but left-hand available on request.

What are the burner sizes? 1 big (for boils), 1 small (for simmers) – brass for 15% better efficiency than steel.

Ergonomic knobs? ABS nylon, heat-resistant – turn easy even wet.

Sturdy legs? Tubular with rubber feet – grip counters, anti-skid.

ISI certified? Yes, for safety.

Spacing between burners? 200mm – room for small to medium pots.

This is a very good gas stove. The one I had ordered had a gas leakage problem. After that, I filed a complaint on Amazon for replacement. I received a new product within three to four days. Thanks

I bought this Pigeon gas stove from Amazon 10 months ago, and it’s been nothing but trouble ever since. The ignition stopped working early on, and by the 7th month, one of the burners broke—a clear sign of cheap, low-quality materials used.

I’ve complained 6 times in 10 months, and every time, reaching customer support is a struggle. You have to call 10–12 times before someone bothers to answer. And even when they finally promise a technician will visit in 2 days, no one comes. Instead, I get a message saying “your issue has been resolved”—without anyone showing up. Unbelievable!

Only once, after complaining 3–4 times, a technician actually came and fixed the issue. But the fix didn’t even last a month. The same problem came back, which shows how poor their technician service is too—just patchwork, no proper solution.

In short: poor build quality, horrible after-sales service, and unreliable support.
This is not a product or a brand you can trust. Save your money and avoid the frustration.

    Not quality product.
One of the burner leaves carbon on surface. Even after servicing it keeps on happening.

It is a good budget stove but there is an issue with the smaller burner as it is only working on high flame and once you try to reduce the intensity the gas flow stops.

After use if one year and 2 months this is the condition. I purchased it in november 2023. From feb 2025 it started leaking gas. After three complaints, no resolution till date every 2-3 days the service centre guys call and give excuses. No service in bangalore city i cant image the condition in tier 2 or tier 3 city. I am not sure what is wrong with pigeon, but the customer care support executives are making excuses. They are just saying that rusting is not our problem and it is not covered under warranty. The Service Center people are saying that the rusting happened because we repaired the gas from outside. I don’t know what is the logic behind this, but worst service from pigeon. I do not recommend this product to anyone completely devastated since the last five months, there is no resolution of the complaint and they are not helping at all. in five months, I have Complaint four times and the service person has visited our home around 6 to 7 times. They come click the photos and go and WhatsApp the photos two days later then again two days later, they ask us to send the photos, and this is only that is happening. There is no resolution worst product ever everything is just rusted and breaking down and they are not helping us. They are not accepting that this is a manufacturing fault. They are saying that this is because of us. A gas stove is supposed to be near water. I don’t know how rusting is our problem. I have used ₹800 Surya gas and they are far better than this. they don’t rust even after 15 years, horrible product from pigeon, please, avoid.
