I’m extremely disappointed and concerned about this Bosch gas hob. Initially, we experienced a problem where the burner would turn off when we opened the drawer beneath it. Despite following Bosch’s instructions and making extensive (and ultimately unnecessary) changes to our kitchen furniture, the problem persisted. Bosch then acknowledged a fault with the product and promised a replacement, which never materialized.
Even worse, the hob recently exploded. We were incredibly lucky to avoid serious injury. This is a major safety hazard, and I’m shocked by Bosch’s lack of concern. Their response has been cold and legalistic, focusing on blaming us rather than addressing the very real danger their product posed.
I strongly advise against purchasing this hob. Our experience has been a nightmare, from the initial defect to the dangerous explosion and the appalling customer service. This product is a safety risk, and Bosch’s handling of the situation is unacceptable.
