I read a lot of reviews on this cooker in Amazon and saw a few reviews that showed the cooker whistle leaks. I still bought it courageously and I’m a very careful cooker and chef and carefully I first time cooked rice.
Following big problems:
1. It spilled water upon whistle around all
Surroundings and on floor. I had to literally wipe
Out the cooktop and floor an extra work while
Cooking.
2. It was non stick and mostly ok but at the mid and top portions it did sticky of the rice etc.
3. Washing is easy and difficult. Easy to wash inside bottom but very difficult to wash the inside top as you have to tilt it to make water come out of the curve unlike prestige cooker where no curves at top inwards.
4. Very tough to remove washer and wash as washer black one doesn’t move much easily.
5. Very big surprise and problem was I can’t tuck
In the spoon inside it and close as we want to
Use same spoon for night as that in morning and we generally close cooker keeping spoons inside. This cooker doesn’t even allow a spoon size to be kept inside and close lid.
I have been using prestige for over 10 years now. Never had a single problem, no leaks, non stick hard anodoized and spoons and spatula all can go on and we can close the lid. This time I bought this and first cooking itself was a deal breaker experience. I’ll throw and buy prestige again..
Some other reviews here talked about same leaking problem. Do not put your money on this product.

Dear Sir, The product is very good in design and other features as well.
My concern is the price fluctuation after my purchase. I purchased it for AED.136, When i receive the item in hand, after seeing that my friend wants to purchase the same item, so we checked the item, the price was showing AED.90, I have lost around AED.40/-. I am really disappointed after seeing this.

I recently purchased the 6.5L Hawkins Contura Black XT cooker and I am genuinely very impressed with its quality.
The cooker looks very sturdy and premium from the first use. The material is thick and heavy, and it feels very strong in hand. The handles are also very sturdy and give a solid grip, which makes handling the cooker safe and comfortable even when it is full.
The capacity is excellent for large cooking. It can easily cook around 3 kg of raw chicken at one time without any difficulty. I have used it for dum biryani and other large meals, and the results are amazing every time. The food cooks evenly and the best part is that it never burns, which is very important for big quantity cooking.
Since it works on both gas and induction, it is very versatile. Cooking is faster and efficient, and the heat spreads evenly inside the cooker.
I also own the 3.5L cooker from the same Hawkins Contura Black XT series, and I have been using it for around 7 years now. It is still working perfectly fine without any issues. I have added a photo comparing both 3.5L and 6.5L cookers so that others can clearly understand the size difference.
Based on my experience with both sizes, I can confidently say that the build quality of this series is superb and very reliable.
If you are looking for a strong, durable, and large capacity cooker for family cooking, this is a perfect choice. I am fully satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it.

Not even two months now since I purchased this cooker and the safety valve bursted. Luckily no human damage was done but my floor and the celling ruined with pulses inside cooking. Never expected from this well known brand.
